CWCki:Style
Editing the CWCki can be difficult, especially with so many different articles and writing styles. This page is a simple style guide to help keep things consistent. By following these guidelines, you can make sure your edits are clear, easy to read, and fit well with the rest of the CWCki.
Refer to Chris as "Chris"
"Chris-chan" is too ED and too long when "Chris" works just fine (and Chris rarely refers to himself as "Chris-chan" except in the context of his fursona Chris-Chan Sonichu). Of course, if you're referring to Chris-Chan Sonichu, then Chris-Chan is fine.
Christian or Christine is alright as well.
Use male pronouns for Chris
For the sake of consistency with previous entries and to maintain coherence throughout the articles, editors are advised to refer to Chris using male pronouns. While discussions around Chris's gender identity are always welcome, the use of "he/him" pronouns here reflects how Chris has been described in past documentation on the CWCki.
Utilize your User Page
Editors who are planning significant rewrites or overhauls of existing pages are encouraged to make use of their user pages to draft and refine their changes before applying them to the main article. This practice allows for more thorough editing, feedback, and reduces the risk of disrupting the flow or accuracy of established pages.
How files should be used
Images can enhance articles when used thoughtfully. They should support the content without distracting from it and be placed near the relevant text. Only upload media that fits the topic. Avoid low-quality or duplicate files by checking if a similar one already exists. Use clear filenames and, importantly, always add appropriate categories. Properly categorized files make it easier for others to find, reference, and reuse media, helping keep the CWCki organized and useful for everyone.
How to format
Formatting and style on the CWCki should be clear, consistent, and reader-friendly. Begin each article with a concise lead that answers who, what, when, and why; organize content into logical sections (e.g. Early Life, Online Presence, Controversies) and present events chronologically. Use a neutral but occasionally witty tone without going into memespeak, avoiding tangents and redundancy. Link to relevant CWCki pages the first time people, events, or concepts are mentioned (but don’t overlink), and use standard templates (e.g. Infobox Person) for layout consistency; if unsure, check similar articles or ask on the talk page.
